Green vibrations — Guiers Mort, oil on wood

A scene halfway between observation and invention: the Guiers Mort really does flow here, but the light piercing the foliage was imagined, recomposed to reach an almost transcendent quality. The aim was not to reproduce a precise moment but to capture that particular vibration of evening light filtered through the trees.

This original painting thus moves between the real — the river, its continuous presence in the background — and invention, with light as a subject in its own right, almost independent of the landscape that holds it.
